EQSTRA Flexi Fleet was established in 1983 and integrated into the current Eqstra Fleet Management and Logistics Division in 1996. The division is positioned as the leading commercial vehicle solution provider in the South African market.The company has been repositioned during 2012 to diversify into the transport sector and overseas the delivery of services to the Contract Hire, Commodities and Dry Bulk sectors of the market.

EQSTRA Flexi Fleet provides a range of commercial vehicle and transport services to the South African market which could be categorised as follows:

 

Flexi Fleet: Provides management and consulting services to the general commercial vehicle market in South Africa. This division also houses the shared services unit for all business unit within the Flexi Fleet division.

 

LOGISTICS: This division operates mainly within the mining sector in Mpumalanga and surrounding areas. The main focus is the transportation of commodities (e.g. coal, chrome, etc.).

 

Bulk: The Bulk division transport dry bulk goods within the cement and fly ash markets. The business unit is a service provider two of the biggest cement and fly ash producers within South Africa

 

Workshops: Flexi Fleet operates a national network of 15 commercial vehicle workshops. The workshops are primarily focused on delivering an optimised uptime solution for the Clover fleet and is similarly committed to maintain and service external customer vehicles with the same level of commitment.

 

Panel Shops: A network of 4 commercial vehicle panel shop facilities is situated in all the major centres in South Africa. The panel shop adhere to the highest standard of work in order to allow our customers to retain and enhance the inherent value of their assets.

As a level 3 contributor EQSTRA Commodities is currently investing in enterprise development initiatives and the management of mentorship programs within the areas of our expertise.

The Flexi Fleet vehicles are illustrated under each individual business unit. The total fleet within this division exceeds 1150 units as at the end of 2012.
